Folk Arts Week: June 14-19th!
Monday:
6:30-8:00
Classes for Adults Only at St. Mary's: Ages 18 and older
  • Improvisation: All instruments including fiddle, bass, guitar, mandolin, flute, etc.
    Instructors: James Anderson and Adam Carney from Austin, Texas.

  • Irish Style: All instruments appropriate for Irish style.
    Instructors: Kate Riker from Montana and Tom Nugent from Colorado

  • Mandolin: Beginning, Intermediate and Advance will be offered if there is a need.
    Instructors: Jason Norris from Barefoot. More instructors will be available if the class has multiple levels.

Wednesday Midsummer Concert of Folk All-Stars

A concert at St. Mary's Episcopal Church featuring faculty from the Alaska City Folk Arts Camp

Tickets: $15 at the door

There will be an instrument sale at this event!  Proceeds will benefit Haiti Partners.
Thursday 6:30-8:30: Classes for Adults Continue (see Monday schedule)

7:00: Contra and Swing Dance for all ages!

-At the Square and Round Dance Center on Government Hill.
-Sponsored by Alaska City Folk Arts and Dancing Bears.
-Cost: $5
Friday Jam Session: Details TBA
Saturday Fiddlehead Folk Festival

Alyeska Hotel Day Lodge

Saturday, June 19th

Gates open: 12pm.  Show starts: 1pm

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Kids 12 and under are FREE.
